With a recent post to Twitter LG began the process of getting everyone excited for what appears to be a new device announcement. The vague tweet gives a date, the words “Something New” and a partial picture of the back of a phone with what looks to be an all metal case. The image also shows what has become LG’s signature power and volume controls on the back of the device.
The device is rumored to be the LG Class, code named H740. There have been a few leaks of information and images of the device prior to this post, but for the most part LG has kept it pretty under wraps.
The LG Class is LG’s response to the Samsung Note and the iPhone 6 Plus. It is rumored to come with a 5.7 inch HD display and a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution.
It should come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core 1.5 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for expandable storage. It is said that it will run Android Lollipop (5.1.1 ).
Let’s tune in tomorrow and see if the rumors are true and see whether or not this is something worthy of the “Something New” title!
