Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Receives Android 5.1.1!

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 w/S-PenToday Sprint and Samsung started rolling out an over the air update (OTA) to users of the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.  The full build number for the OTA is N910PVPU4COG5 (the important part is the OG5).

Samsung lists the update as containing the following items on their device changelog.

  • Android version 5.1.1, Lollipop OS Upgrade
  • Message Waiting Indicator fix
  • Security fix (Stagefright)
  • Misc. bug fixes.

The update started rolling out early this morning and should hit most users shortly.  If you haven’t seen it yet you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System Update and then select the Update Now option.  Just a reminder that you won’t be able to flash the OTA if you are on a rooted or non-stock build.
