Earlier this week SlickWraps announced their Black Friday giveaway for this year. They would be doing a 50% off sale for everything on their site. Additionally the first 100 people to order something from the site during the sale would be given $20 in cash with their order. Every order will have either a $1, $5, $10, $20 or $100 in cash. On top of that one extremely lucky winner would receive a trip to CES 2016!
The sale was originally going to run for 8 hours today starting at 12:01 CST. I’m in MST so I just stayed up until 11:01 and went online to order in the hopes I would be the lucky winner of the CES 2016 ticket (fat chance but one can hope!).
I was immediately hit with a server error screen that prevented me from even getting to the site. After about ten minutes of trying I decided to call it a night and went to bed. I’m an early riser so at 5:50 this morning I went back online to order a skin for my Nexus 5X and at least get the 50% off deal.
While I was doing my morning reading of geek news I happened to see several tweets from SlickWraps on Twitter.
So in short there was an insanely overwhelming demand and I wasn’t the only one having issues last night (or this morning depending on what time zone you are in). SlickWraps recognizes the demand for their product and not only are they extending the deal for the rest of the day but they will be redoing the first 100 people getting $20 tonight at 6:00 PM CST.
Although this will be my first SlickWrap that I purchase for one of my devices, I have seen them on other people’s devices and have been very impressed. I can’t wait for my order to get here so I can get it out and put it on!
Hurry up and get the deal while you can! While you’re waiting for the page to load check out the preview/announcement video below.
