iClever BoostCube: USB-C Wall Charger

Timing couldn’t have been better on receiving the iClever BoostCube USB-C Wall Charger for review. For some unknown reason, my Nexus 6P stock charger stopped charging so I needed something new. Luckily this showed up in my mailbox the next day for review purposes.

Nicely sized, with folding plugs make this a great item to just throw in your bag and not worry about it taking up too much space. Its rated at Input: AC 100-240V 50/60Hz, Max. 0.8A; Output: DC 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 15V/ 2A, 20V/1.5A( Max.30W). On the front where you plug-in your cable there is also a little blue light that allows you to verify that the unit is getting power from the wall.

I was very happy to see that the charger does recognize high-speed charging devices and as such, my 6P stated right on the screen Charging Rapidly. I did not experience any ill effects or excessive heat when using the charger.

Its listed on Amazon for $99 but on sale for $25 now. This is one of those situations where I think that it is always $25 because I know I would not pay 100 bucks for a wall charger, even the iClever BoostCube: USB-C Wall Charger.
