Pokemon Go Updated With New Pokemon (Pichu and Togepi)!
Niantic, the team behind Pokémon Go, just announced that starting later today there will be new Pokémon in Pokémon Go!
There wasn’t a lot of information, but they did tell us that there will be at least two 2nd Generation Pokémon. 2nd Generation Pokémon are those introduced in the Gold and Silver games. Later today you will be able to hatch (not catch) a Togepi, Pichu and several other Pokémon from eggs you collect at Pokestops. Niantic also let us know that this is just the first round with more Pokémon coming over the next few months.
The announcement doesn’t stop there, though. Later today you will start to see a limited edition holiday-themed Pikachu roaming around in the wild. The special Pikachu will come complete with a festive Santa Claus cap. You’ll be able to catch him and add him to your collection until December 29th at 10:00 PST.
