I just got the BoostSound Bluetooth BTS09 Speaker from the kind folks over at iClever. The BTS09 looks very different from all the other smaller rectangular speakers I have received from them. At first glance, it looks a bit like a colander (a bowl with holes in it used for straining water off of food).
The BTS09 is definitely not a speaker that I would consider to be portable. The speaker is perfect for setting up on your desk or a shelf. It has a nice stable base with controls on the top of the device. The controls are your standard, power, mute, forward, back, and volume with long presses.
Two 10W drivers power the sound from this speaker providing a very nice crisp sound. It produces a good quality bass compared to many of the other Bluetooth speakers I have reviewed.
The BTS09 is a good-looking speaker with the metal mesh front. The adjustable LED background lighting adds a “mood setting” that complements the rest of the device very nicely.
Connecting the speaker was as simple and easy on both Android and iOS. Just search for new Bluetooth devices and when it shows up in the list, tap it to connect. The battery is a 4,000 mAh lithium-ion that should give up to 8 hours of music playback. It can also double as a night-light and iClever claims that it can support up to 10,000 hours of night-light use.
At $79.99, it’s definitely a bit more expensive than the other iClever speakers. But if you are looking for quality sound in a speaker, I do highly recommend this one. Order it here: BoostSound Bluetooth BTS09 Speaker.
