Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Now Available On NVIDIA SHIELD!

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake EaterEarlier this morning, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was made available on the Google Play Store for the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV. It will be $14.99 but is on sale right now for $9.99.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a port of the original 2004 game for the PlayStation 2.  The game focuses on a special forces agent who goes by the call sign of Naked Snake.  Naked Snake is on a mission to rescue a Russian rocket scientist who has defected to the United States.  His mission takes him through the jungles of the Soviet Union.  He faces off against wild animals, Soviet agents, and the dangers of the jungle.

Although the game is considered one of the greatest videos of all time, I wasn’t personally a fan.  I enjoyed the gameplay and found it to be quite enjoyable.  My biggest problem was with the cutscenes leading up to the gameplay.  The introduction cutscene was roughly ten or fifteen minutes.  After that, I got to play for about three minutes.  And then there was yet another cutscene that went on forever.  And most cutscenes weren’t real cutscenes but were a mostly blank screen, where you listened to people talking on a radio.  You could skip some of the radio conversations, but if you cared about the story, you had to listen to them all the way through.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake EaterThe port was very well done.  The controls worked well, the game ran smoothly, and there were no issues running it on my NVIDIA SHIELD.  If you are a fan of the Metal Gear games, you should check this out and be sure to get it while it’s on sale!
